For over 35 years Proactive Partners, a division of TCA Holdings, has
designed, built and managed corporate fitness centers and health
system-based wellness centers for clients such as McDonalds, the Henry Ford
Health System and many more. They are one the largest fitness center
operators in the country and have been recognized throughout the industry
for their excellent customer service, strong financial discipline and high
ethical standards. The quality of their service is reflected in our clients'
employee participation that exceeds the industry average at facilities they
manage. They receive consistently high satisfaction ratings from those
employees as well as client management.
"Proactive Partners had been doing a fantastic job for our clients and our
commitment to quality was a point of pride with us," said Barbara Allen.
"What we had never done was toot our own horn with intent of growing our own
business, we essentially took on referrals which was going quite well but we
never had an active sales and marketing plan. The web site became a
cornerstone of our efforts. When the time came for us to move on it, I
called Integrated Web Solutions immediately as I'd worked with them before
and knew they would help guide and provide their own business insight to
what we were trying to accomplish."
Once Proactive Partners had established their own brand identity, it was our
mission to extend that print identity into the online medium," said John
Schwarberg, Creative Director at Integrated Web Solutions. "The site itself
was intended to act as a standalone for the Proactive Partners division but
it also needed to tie in with web sites owned by TCA Holdings, the parent
company as well as sites of the various Midtown Athletic Club locations
throughout the country."
The entire process from conceptualizing and design through web site hosting,
e-mail routing and site launch took about three weeks including doing some
minor updating and coding corrections on many of the Midtown Athletic Club
web sites. "IWS is so much more than a web designer or developer, they take
the time to understand the business and they provide so much education on
what the technology can do to help you meet your business goals. Most
importantly for me, they also took the time to talk us out of a lot of
things that may ultimately have provided distraction or been left untended.
I never see them as a vendor or even so much as a consultant. I see them as
a true business partner," said Barbara Allen.
